Temperature Controls

Overwintering favourites from the garden requires the greenhouse or conservatory to be frost free, a minimum of 4°C. Exotics need higher temperatures. Whatever the temperature, accurate control is essential for the plants but also your pocket. Every 1°C the house is overheated increases the fuel bill by 10%. Many thermostats allow wide swings. Some as much as 5°C.

0°C to 40°C The temperature is set by the calibrated dial around the knob.

Remote Sensing
Sensor on 3mtr lead is placed in the most vital position amongst your plants or in the sandbed giving more accurate control exactly where needed.

Splashproof
The electronics are housed in a simple to mount splashproof plastic box and the IP56 rating is maintained by cable entry glands with rubber seals.

Versatile
Easily wired to control either heating or cooling. In winter to accurately control heating and easily changed to run circulation or extract fans in the summer.

Simple
Controls heaters up to 3kw-13amps, soil warming cables in sand beds, tubular heaters, boilers or cooling equipment, extract, circulation fans or electric vent openers. Use Relay Box for larger loads.

Tropical Thermostat

Day-Night Thermostat

Automatic temperature reduction Activated by the timeclock. The timeclock activates the electronics, the daytime set temperature is reduced by the degree drop required at night. Setable from 1 to 10°C.

Accurate Will control to within 1°C. Temperature is set on accurately marked dial 0 to 40°C.

Remote Sensor The sensor can be mounted up to 20mtrs from the controller. Standard sensor is supplied on 3mtr lead. Extra lead £1.25 mtr.

Higher Switching Capability Switches up to 4kw 20amps resistive. Incorporates the requirements of both amateur and professional growers. Essential for specialist Exotic growers whose plants require nightime temperature drop to induce flowering, as happens naturally in the Tropics. The Thermostat incorporates contact suppression for longer relay life and to improve EMC, a CE marking requirement when switching reactive loads.
