Soil Warming
Bottom heat provided by a Propagator or Soil Warming Cable improves germination of seedlings and rooting of cuttings by promoting healthy, vigorous root growth.
SOIL WARMING CABLES To make a Propagator to fit the space available. Make a wooden frame about 4" high with a base (like a drawer). Put a piece of 1" polystyrene covered polythene in the base, lay the cable on it and cover with approx: 1.5" of coarse sand. Our Cables are Superior Quality. Fully insulated with Safety Earth Braid. You will need 7.5watts per square foot in a heated greenhouse. 10 watts if unheated.
